NSU Student Featured in NFL Segment
Julius Thomas, NSU student and former NFL player for the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos, appeared in a segment Sunday morning for the NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Thomas was featured on segment called Life After Football, and spoke about his decision in getting his doctorate in psychology so that he can help guys better understand what they are going though, and ultimately help them obtain a good quality of life. Thomas mentioned that he stopped playing football so he could not only exercise his body, but also his mind. He is currently involved in collaborative research between the NSU Exercise Science program and the Neuroscience department.
Jaime Tartar, Ph.D., professor and research director for the NSU’s College of Psychology, was also featured on the segment.
