NSU Student-Athletes Earn D2ADA Academic Achievement Award
57 Nova Southeastern University student-athletes have been named recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award, as announced Thursday, Aug. 13.
In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the athletic director of the DII institution must be a current dues paying member of the D2ADA. Also, a student-athlete must: have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
2014-15 was another outstanding academic campaign for the Sharks, who have averaged a departmental 3.0 GPA or higher for over a decade. As a league, the Sunshine State Conference had 578 total honorees, ranking fourth in the nation.
