NSU Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, Nov. 4
Maribel Del Rio-Roberts, Psy.D., an assistant professor in human services within the Division of Applied Interdisciplinary Studies at Nova Southeastern University, will be the featured speaker at NSU’s Speaker’s Forum on Friday, Nov. 4. She will discuss helping through advocacy and leadership and will provide information about the M.S. degree in developmental disabilities.
Del Rio-Roberts is also the program director for the new masters of science in developmental disabilities. She is a licensed Florida psychologist, who specializes in developmental disabilities, clinical child psychology, infant mental health, and psychological evaluation. Del Rio-Roberts holds a B.A. in psychology from Florida International University and an M.S. and Psy.D. in psychology from Carlos Albizu University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Miami Children’s Hospital, where she participated in various clinics such as the Developmental Disabilities Clinic, Neuro-Developmental Clinic, Early Intervention Clinic, and Craniofacial Clinic, among others. In addition, she completed her post-doctoral residency at NSU, providing services at the Center for Assessment and Intervention, Center for Psychological Studies, and the Dental Clinic.
The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry A. Calderon, Ed.D., Nova vice president for community and governmental relations, takes place each Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Speaker’s Forum will be held in the Carl DeSantis Building, Board of Governors Room 5026.
