NSU Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, Jan. 28




Jennie Q. Lou, M.D., M.Sc.




Jennie Q. Lou, M.D., M.Sc., the founding program director for NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine’s newest program, the Master of Science in biomedical informatics (MSBI) program, will be the featured speaker at NSU Speaker’s Forum on Jan. 28. She will discuss medical informatics, a transition to electronic medical records.

A neurologist, who received her training in China, Lou further completed her education and training at McMaster University in Canada in the fields of neuroscience and rehabilitation science. Lou joined NSU in 1998. In addition to her faculty position in the MSBI Program, she is also a professor of public health and internal medicine.

The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry A. Calderon, Ed.D., NSU vice president of community and governmental relations, takes place each Friday from 9 – 10:30 a.m. The audience is treated to a delicious hot breakfast and an opportunity to learn about the fascinating people that make NSU a great university. The Speaker’s Forum will be held in the Chancellor’s Dining Room at the Terry Building at Health Professions Division.
