NSU Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, Feb. 25


Barbara Packer-Muti, M.S., Ed.D., executive director of quality assessment for institutional and community engagement at NSU


Barbara Packer-Muti, M.S., Ed.D., executive director of quality assessment for institutional and community engagement at NSU, will be the featured speaker at the NSU Speaker’s Forum on Feb. 25. She will talk about community collaboration at NSU, give updates, and give a database demonstration.

Packer-Muti has primary responsibility for NSU’s Quality Enhancement Plan, a variety of “I Believe in NSU” assessments, the NSU-wide Alumni Academic Outcomes Assessment, the Community Collaboration Database, and the Carnegie Designation for Community Engagement. She is also a faculty member at NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services. Packer-Muti earned her bachelor’s degree at Douglass College, her master’s degree at Columbia University, and her doctorate at NSU. She works with faculty and administrators across NSU on direct and indirect measures of student learning outcomes and has taught numerous courses to undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.

The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry Calderon, Ed.D., who is NSU’s vice president for community and governmental relations, takes place each Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The audience is treated to a delicious hot breakfast and an opportunity to learn about the fascinating people that make NSU a great university.
