NSU Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, Dec. 16

Michael Richmond, J.D., a professor of law at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, will be the featured speaker at NSU’s Speaker’s Forum on Friday, Dec. 16. He will discuss: “Textbook Pricing:  How Can We Help Our Students Afford Education, and What Problems Does Pricing Pose for the Subjects We Teach?”

Richmond teaches torts, products liability, defamation privacy & publicity, and the Law & Literature Seminar.  He has published extensively in the areas of tort law and law & popular culture, and has created his own materials for his three substantive courses.  These materials are available free of charge to his students on Blackboard.  Richmond has been teaching law at NSU for literally half his life.  He received his A.B. in English Literature from Hamilton College; his J.D. from Duke University, and his M.S.L.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill.

The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry A. Calderon, Ed.D., NSU vice president for community and governmental relations, takes place each Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The forum will be held at the Huizenga Business School, room 5026.
