NSU Speaker’s Forum, “Partnering with the Library to build a better researcher & student,” May 11
Elena Soltau, MLIS, instructional outreach librarian at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library’s Reference Department, will be the featured speaker at NSU’s Speaker’s Forum on Friday, May 11. Her presentation is titled: “Beyond the Books: Partnering with the Library to Build a Better Researcher and Student.”
Soltau, who got her master’s degree at Florida State University, began her library career at the Alvin Sherman Library in the Distance and Instructional Librarian Department. In 2011, she transferred to the Reference Department as the Reference II Instructional Librarian, where she liaises with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences’ faculty.
The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum, hosted by Larry Calderon, Ed.D., NSU vice president for community and governmental affairs, takes place each Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The forum will be held at the Huizenga Business School, Room 5026.
