NSU’s Digital Media Department Nominated for 2 Emmys
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter recently announced the nominees for its 36th Annual Emmy Awards. Two members of NSU’s Digital Media Department in the Office of Innovation & Information Technology were nominated for Emmys for their work on a Public Service Announcement. The video titled “Smoking Cessation,” aired on BECON-TV during June and earned nominations for executive producer Maria Tako and Paolo Mugnaini, who is nominated in the Director category.
The project was created in collaboration with NSU’s Healthy Sharks’ tobacco free campaign, and also aired on Sharktube. The video is currently posted on YouTube.
BECON-TV reaches 4.3 million households in the tri-county area. The winners will be announced on December 1 in the Chapter’s Emmy Awards Ceremony, which will be held in Ft. Lauderdale.
