Lecture on Kente of Ghana by Cyril Blavo, D.O., MPH, & TM, FACOP
The elegant tapestry of the hand-woven Kente cloth features the imagination, creativity and skill of native artistry in Ghana. A symbol of beauty, royalty and formality, the origin of the Kente cloth is acclaimed by the Ashanti and Ewe people of Ghana. This presentation will explore the history, art and craft of Kente weaving, along with a demonstration and cultural depiction of the essence of Kente.
