NSU sends Three Student Athletes to Orlando for Annual Conference

NSU sent three student-athlete representatives, SAAC President, Roberto Baroniel (Jr., Miami, Fla.), Shark Night Chair, Esau Simpson (Sr., St. David’s, Grenada) and Community Engagement Chair, Krista Colburn (Jr., Meade, Colo.) to the SAAC President, Roberto Baroniel (Jr., Miami, Fla.), Shark Night Chair, Esau Simpson (Sr., St. David’s, Grenada) and Community Engagement Chair, Krista Colburn (Jr., Meade, Colo.). weekend  in Orlando on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8.

The E.L.I.T.E. acronym stands for “Experience and Leadership Ignite Teamwork and Excellence.”  Each of the SSC’s nine member institutions was represented at the event. The weekend focused on learning how to work in a conference-style setting, sharing ideas and listening to personal opinions of topics that deal with improving the relationships between athletes and their schools.
