NSU Rower Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year

Lauren Boudreau

Nova Southeastern University’s student athlete, Lauren Boudreau (Sr., Waterford, N.Y.), has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference’s nominee for the NCAA’s Woman of the Year award.

Boudreau was a member of NSU’s rowing team, which won the first NCAA Division II Rowing Championship in conference history earlier this month. As a biology major, Boudreau graduated with a 3.65 grade point average.

“I run out of superlatives when describing Lauren Boudreau,” said head coach Stephen Frazier-Wong. “Her work ethic and leadership skills are second to none. Her daily preparation and focus for practice is unequalled in anyone that I have ever coached. Lauren’s teammates describe her as the glue that keeps everyone together and working toward the same goal. It is no coincidence that, during Lauren’s three-year tenure as a captain, the rowing team not only maintained strength, but got even stronger under three different head coaches. Lauren’s commitment to integrity, academic excellence, athletic excellence and community engagement provides a positive example for all DII student-athletes.”
