NSU Represented at Blackboard Teaching & Learning Day
Nova Southeastern University was among more than 100 Higher Ed and K12 attendees and was one of eight client presenters at the Blackboard Teaching & Learning Day, recently held in Orlando. NSU participated in a day of Blackboard and peer-led sessions exploring how technologies can help initiate strategic transformation on campus.
Hugo Alvarez, executive director and chief technology officer in the Office of Innovation and Information Technology, along with Martha M. Snyder, Ph.D., associate professor in the Graduate School of Computer and Information Services, delivered the day’s Higher Education Client Showcase highlighting their commitment to seamlessly integrating technology into the lives of students and faculty in support of NSU’s 2020 Vision.
The Blackboard Teaching & Learning Day drew directors, instructional technologists, administrators and faculty members from K12 and Higher Education institutions throughout Florida. The day provided face-to-face interaction with Blackboard product experts and an opportunity to network with peers from across the state.
The Blackboard Keynote & Roadmap session, delivered by Brad Koch, VP, Product Management; Marlin Rattiner, director, Product Management and David Mills, SVP of R&D, Academic Platforms, showcased Blackboard’s focus on design and innovation.
A wide range of sessions were offered on increasing faculty adoption to managing the course creation process to using Blackboard Academic Platforms to help achieve strategic goals. Product Experts were on hand throughout the day to answer one-on-one questions or listen to feedback.
