NSU Recognized for Promoting Carpooling
South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS), a program of the Florida Department of Transportation, presented Nova Southeastern University with an Award for their continued support in promoting carpooling, taking transit, biking and walking to campus. The Award was presented to Jacqueline Travisano, executive vice president and chief operating Ooficer, in December 2012 to celebrate yet another year’s worth of achievements.
With NSU’s participation in SFCS’ Clean Air Challenge and Scavenger Hunt, and the continual partnership shared in the South Florida Education Center Transportation Management Association throughout the year, the Florida Department of Transportation was able to further reach the goal of mitigating traffic congestion and the County’s goal of improving air quality.
