“It is gratifying to know that our efforts to have a truly diversified campus are successful,” said NSU President/CEO George L. Hanbury II. “I think our student population well reflects the community we are situated in, and also shows our programs to engage minority students are working.”

An NSU analysis of the Diverse study, http://diverseeducation.com/top100/pages/index.php , reflects that for all graduate level degrees, NSU ranks 2nd in Hispanic graduates and 9th in African American graduates. NSU is ranked 3rd in Masters in Business Administration degrees. In addition, NSU ranks first in professional doctorates of Dentistry to Hispanic students. NSU is the largest private institution in the United States that meets the U.S. Department of Education’s criteria as a Hispanic-serving Institution.

The 2015-2016 data collected by Diverse is based on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).  IPEDS is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), which is a part of the Institute for Education Sciences with the U.S. Department of Education.
