NSU raises more than $142,00 for the United Way
NSU recently held its annual United Way Campaign to benefit programs and families within Broward County. Through the collective efforts of various colleges, schools and centers, the university was able to raise over $142,000 in donations for this worthy cause. Special recognition goes to the following departments for significantly increasing participation and donation amounts over last year:
- University School
- Fischler School of Education
- College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Alvin Sherman Library
Campaign participants who donated $26 or more to the United Way were eligible to win (2) American Airlines tickets to anywhere in the Continental U.S. including Mexico and Canada. Please join us in congratulating prize winner Anne Bruce from the Office of Innovation & Information Technology.
NSU has a great opportunity to impact Broward County in a significant way through their partnership with the United Way. The annual corporate match allows United Way to leverage the funds and get a return of 4 to 1, which helps to aid 1 in 6 people throughout Broward County.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PARTICIPANTS AND CAMPAIGN VOLUNTEERS FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
