NSU Professors Featured in new BECON TV BizBlock Series
Six professors from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship recently participated in a joint venture TV series with the Broward Education Communications Network (BECON TV) and the Town of Davie titled BizBlock. The TV series is airing now – and throughout the year – on Comcast Ch. 19 in the tri-county area of South Florida. Professors and staff attended the opening reception and screening of the series on Oct. 10, at the Cinemark Paradise Theater in Davie.
BizBlock is designed to educate and inform microbusiness enterprises and small to medium business owners of successful strategies. The series provides actionable information that can help small business owners to succeed. Each episode features business experts and successful business people who guide others with their expertise. These professionals share their experiences and offer suggestions for successfully managing and growing a business. The series focuses on a wide variety of business fundamentals such as marketing, planning, and selling.
Episode topics include Dynamic Business Planning, Branding your Business, Management Techniques, and Advertising and Marketing and were developed with the expertise and input of Broward County’s Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). A full copy of the eight-part series will also be available at the Alvin Sherman Library on NSU’s main campus in Davie.
