Deborah A. Mulligan, M.D., FAAP, FACEP, director of NSU’s Institute for Child Health Policy and clinical professor of pediatrics, has been named a weekly health contributor on First News with Jimmy Cefalo. Tune in to WIOD 610 AM on most Tuesday mornings in the 7 a.m. hour to hear Mulligan commenting on hot topics ranging from head lice to gluten-free diets.

Mulligan is a nationally-recognized leader in pediatric emergency medicine. She has been interviewed by a variety of media outlets, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Discovery Health Channel, Univision & Telefutura Networks, Metro Networks, CNN en Español, Todobebe, Hispanic News Wire, Parent Magazine and the Wall Street Journal.

She recently spoke at the American Academy of Pediatrics Annual Leadership Forum in Chicago, Illinois. The forum was attended by 250 executive leaders who support the Human Trafficking Education as a Component of Medical Education and Pediatric Training Resolution. She also presented a seminar on “Taking Care of the Children” at the 45th Annual Pediatric Symposium in Destin, Florida.
