NSU Professor Donates His Eagle Crystal to College of Pharmacy
Mutasem Rawas-Qalaji, Ph.D., associate professor at NSU’s College of Pharmacy, was invited to speak during the Nanotechnology and Its Industrial Application session at Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies (DUPHAT) Conference and Exhibition, United Arab Emirates, Dubai on March 15-17 2016. During his presentation, Rawas-Qalaji spoke about his research results during his journey in drug formulation and development. The title of his presentation was “Novel Approach for Enhancing Sublingual Absorption Using Nanotechnology: Sublingual Epinephrine for the Potential First-Aid Treatment of Anaphylaxis.”
The DUPHAT conference was well attended and was endorsed by many international pharmacy organizations. Rawas-Qalaji’s scientific contribution and achievements were recognized during the conference gala dinner and he received the conference’s Eagle Crystal and certificate.
To share his international recognition with the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Rawas-Qalaji donated the Eagle Crystal he received to his college to express his appreciation to the College of Pharmacy and NSU as partners in his success.
