NSU Pharmacy Faculty Member Receives Prestigious Fellowship

Anastasios Lymperopoulos, B.Pharm., M.Sc., Ph.D., F.A.H.A., F.E.S.C.

Anastasios Lymperopoulos, B.Pharm., M.Sc., Ph.D., F.A.H.A., F.E.S.C., associate professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences, NSU’s College of Pharmacy, was elected in December 2015 as a Fellow of the prestigious European Society of Cardiology (ESC).

He will be officially bestowed with this recognition during the Annual European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress, which takes place later this year in Rome, Italy. Lymperopoulos received this recognition for his research work and contributions to the field of heart failure and of cardiovascular disease, in general. The ESC recognizes Lymperopoulos as an accomplished, leading, and cutting-edge cardiovascular scientist on the international cardiovascular science stage worldwide. This fellowship is both a tribute and a great testament of respect and appreciation by his peers and the entire European cardiology community. Lymperopoulos is also a Fellow of the American Heart Association.
