NSU Pharmacy Faculty Member Elected to National Board

Stephanie A Gernant, PharmD

Stephanie Gernant, PharmD., M.S., assistant professor of pharmacy practice at NSU’s College of Pharmacy, was elected as the New Practitioner Officer of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Academy of Pharmacy Practice Management Executive Committee.

She will be installed at the 164th APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in San Francisco on March 24–27, 2017 and will serve through the meeting in 2019.

Founded in 1852, APhA is the largest association of pharmacists in the United States, with more than 62,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as members, according to the organization’s website. The APhA Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management (APhA-APPM) caters to pharmacy practitioners in community, hospital and other specialized areas of pharmacy. It is dedicated to assisting members in enhancing the profession of pharmacy, improving medication use and advancing patient care.
