NSU Pharmaceutical Fraternity’s Annual Dance Marathon Raises $10,000 for Pediatric AIDS
NSU’s Delta Rho chapter of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc., recently hosted its 4th Annual Dance Marathon to raise funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
Participants enjoyed music, free dance workshops, refreshments, prizes, and much more while giving back to a great cause at the March 31 event. An estimated 200 participated in this year’s event, which raised more than $10,000.
Kappa Psi hosted the event with the goal of bringing the NSU community together to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s efforts to promote research, and provide aid for affected children in impoverished countries.
Additionally, Kappa Psi hoped to educate Dance Marathon participants about the pandemic that affects millions of children around the world, about treatments that will prevent transmission from mother to child, and ways to help the children manage the disease so they have a chance to live healthy and happy lives.
