NSU Participates in Take Your Child to Work Day

Hollie Bonewit-Cron, head swim coach at NSU, displayeds swim goggles to children as she discussed her career on Take Your Child to Work Day.

To help children make the connection between academic success and success in the workplace, NSU took part in national Take Your Child to Work Day on Apr. 22. The theme for the day was “What We Do at NSU,” and it provided parents the opportunity to showcase their places of employment, explain their job responsibilities, and introduce their children to NSU programs and activities.

In addition to learning about their parent’s job, children heard from other NSU employees from a wide variety of fields about their careers. The children were also entertained by a clown, enjoyed lunch in the food court at the Don Taft University Center, and participated in basketball and cheerleading in the Arena at the Don Taft University Center.

More than 100 children and their parents took part in the activities.
