NSU Orlando Hosts the Central Florida Jobs Initiative
The NSU Orlando Campus proudly served as the host of the Central Florida Jobs Initiative (CFJI). With a 70% job placement rate, the CFJI has made great progress in Seminole County where it has successfully put unemployed and underemployed people to work. Building on this success, the CFJI sought to extend its services to Orange County as well and NSU Orlando was happy to help make that a reality. The week long inaugural course began on June 24 with relevant modules taking place each day. Participants were able to experience various aspects of the job application process such as phone interviews and background checks.
“This is such a great opportunity to get prepared for the current market,” said MBA student Nicole Reddick. “It’s beneficial to know that (CFJI) works with local human resources professionals for job placement opportunities. I’m excited to partake in the one-on-one mock interviews to brush up on my skills!”
