Did you know? NSU Offers Free Smoking Cessation Classes
Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (NSU-COM) Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program through funding from the Florida Health Department, is offering evidence-based group and individual smoking cessation programs throughout Broward County. All sessions are FREE.
Classes are designed to help you:
- Prepare to quit smoking
- Learn strategies and skills to quit and stay tobacco-free even in difficult situations
- Make more informed choices about quitting
- Have the opportunity to share your experiences with others
- Learn how others are dealing with quitting and preparing to quit
- Provide support to and get support from others who are also trying to quit
Participants will also be provided with free nicotine replacement therapy patches, gum or lozenges while supplies last. Classes will be taught in a tobacco-free, friendly, respectful and supportive group setting.
