NSU’s President and CEO George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., recently announced the appointment of Stanley Wilson, P.T., Ed.D., CEAS, as dean of NSU’s College of Health Care Sciences. Wilson has served in a number of administrative positions within the college, including associate dean for academic affairs and previously as associate dean for rehabilitation services and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy.

Wilson’s academic leadership experience at NSU is complemented by his prior experience as associate professor and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Howard University in Washington, D.C., assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Florida International University in Miami, and several clinical appointments in South Florida and Virginia.

“Dean Wilson’s experiences at NSU and in the clinical field make him uniquely qualified for this leadership position,” said Fred Lippman, R.Ph., Ed.D., chancellor of NSU’s Health Professions Division. “He has authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts and presentations; conducted grant funded research activities and been recognized through leadership roles in professional and community service organizations.”

Wilson received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Howard University, Master of Science in Health Care Management from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fla., and Doctor of Education in Adult Education & Human Resource Development from Florida International University.
