NSU Medical School Professor Wins National Accolade
Anthony N. Ottaviani, D.O., M.P.H., MACOI, FCCP, clinical professor of internal medicine, regional dean for NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM), received the American
Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) Distinguished Service Certificate during its Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition recently held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The accolade is the AOA’s highest honor, which is granted only to deserving members for outstanding accomplishments in scientific or professional affairs. Ottaviani, who is also the director of medical education at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments in furthering the osteopathic medical profession, particularly his leadership at NSU-COM, and expanding osteopathic graduate medical education in Florida.
Ottaviani is a member of NSU’s Health Professions Division’s Board of Governors and has been elected to the AOA Mentor Hall of Fame.
