NSU Medical School Alumnus Chosen President of Florida Osteopathic Medical Association


Gregory J. James, D.O., M.P.H., FACOFP dist., a 1988 graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine


Gregory J. James, D.O., M.P.H., FACOFP dist., a 1988 graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, was elected president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) during its 110th Annual Convention held February 20-24, 2013, in Weston, Florida.  More than 900 osteopathic physicians, healthcare professionals, and students attended the convention.  James has been a member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association for over 21 years.

James is a member of the board of directors for the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, the certification board for all osteopathic family physicians. He currently serves the American Osteopathic Association as liaison to the Centers for Disease Control for the National Influenza Vaccine Summit; as a Florida member of the House of Delegates; and on the Council on Post-Doctoral Training.

This year, James was chosen Educator of the Year for the National American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
