NSU Library’s Circle of Friends Hosts “Night in the Opera”
The Circle of Friends of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center recently hosted its annual meeting in conjunction with a performance by the Lyric Opera during “Night in the Opera.”
The May 14 festivities included cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, before the stirring musical performance and a Chance Auction with proceeds benefiting the Alvin Sherman Library.
The evening also served as the Annual Meeting and installation of the 2011-2012 board for the Circle of Friends. Officers installed include:
- Adolfo J. Cotilla, Jr., President
- Raymond Ballotta, Vice-President
- Marianne Ferro, Secretary
- Arthur Drujak, Treasurer.
Eric Ackerman also joined the Board of the Circle of Friends, and Past President Anita Paoli and member Catalina Avalos were recognized as outgoing members of the board.
The Circle of Friends is a diverse group of individuals who share the common goal of furthering the intellectual resources of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.
