NSU Library’s Circle of Friends Hosts “An Evening of Music & the White House,” Nov. 13
The Circle of Friends of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will host an evening of music along with an exploration of the Second Floor Gallery’s two concurrent White House exhibits on Saturday, Nov. 13.
The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails and hor d’oeuvres and will include guest historian William Bushong who will lead an examination of the exhibits:
James Hoban: Architect of the White House
A traveling panel exhibit from the White House Historical Association on the design and construction of the White House by the 18th century Irish architect James Hoban.
- Presidential Letters and Signatures
from the Collection of Sheldon C. and Rosalind Kurland
Featuring original documents and hand-written correspondence signed by George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and many more. Get a glimpse into the personal and professional lives of nearly all of America’s past presidents.
The evening will culminate with a performance by renowned violinist Joan Kwuon, who will be accompanied by Teddy Robie on the piano. Tickets are $50 for Circle of Friends members, and $75 for non-members.
The Circle of Friends is a diverse group of individuals who share the common goal of furthering the intellectual resources of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.
