NSU Library’s Circle of Friends Hosts Evening of Art & Music – May 7
The Circle of Friends of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center will be hosting its annual meeting in conjunction with the grand opening of the new art exhibit “The Defining Line: Whistler and Friends as Printmakers” on May 7.
The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m., beginning in the library’s Second Floor Gallery and ending in the atrium. The exhibit, “The Defining Line: Whistler and Friends as Printmakers,” is from the collection of Albert Kalson, Professor Emeritus of Purdue University.
In addition to the exhibition opening, musical entertainment will be provided through the “Mozart Musicale” concert by The Lyric Orchestra. The evening also serves as the Annual Meeting and installation of the 2010-2011 board for the Circle of Friends.
Tickets to the event are complimentary for Circle of Friends members, and cost $70 for non-members, which includes a one-year membership in the group and a raffle ticket.
The Circle of Friends is a diverse group of individuals who share the common goal of furthering the intellectual resources of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.
