NSU Library Hosts “Red Flags and Early Identification of Autism” Workshop with UM-NSU CARD, Apr. 28
Psychologist Melissa Hale of the UM-NSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) office will present information on “Red Flags and Early Identification of Autism” during a special workshop at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library on Saturday, Apr. 28 from 2 to 3 p.m.
This presentation covers information on development across the first few years of life, with particular emphasis on development problems that may be suggestive of autism or other social-communication difficulties. Specific “red flags” will be described. In addition, we will cover what to do next if a child is displaying concerning behavior.
UM-NSU CARD is an outreach and support program serving people with autism and related disabilities, their families, and professionals who work with them. For more information, or to register for the free workshop please click here.
