NSU Library Honors Mother’s Day with American Girls Tea Party
Twenty-five pairs of mothers and daughters recently celebrated Mother’s Day at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center during the Semi-Annual American Girl Tea Party.
The May 9 event featured the newest American Girl book character, Rebecca Rubin. Rebecca is a Russian-American New Yorker from the 1910’s.
To celebrate, the girls had a great time making Russian Nesting Dolls, Big Apple name tags, paper dolls, and patriotic hair braids. Party guests also enjoyed New York deli-style black and white cookies compliments of NSU Dining.
