NSU Joins Hillsborough County in Honoring Teachers
On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, NSU Tampa assistant directors Michael Abraham, Les Ross, and Tony Thompson attended the Hillsborough County Excellence in Education awards ceremony. The ceremony honors three categories of professionals: Teacher of the Year, Instructional Support Employee of the Year, and Ida S. Baker Diversity Educator of the Year. NSU’s Tampa Campus was a sponsor of the event, and in recognition of their achievements, NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education provided each finalist with a $1,500 scholarship and the winner in each category with a $3,500 scholarship that can be used toward any degree program within the College of Education. Congratulations to all the nominees, finalists, and winners. We appreciate all that you do to impact future generations.
