On Aug. 5, Nova Southeastern University’s Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and the NSU Alumni Association joined forces to host the first “Senior Splash.” The event was held at the home of alumna Kathy Corbett, Ed.D., in Amityville, New York.

Six incoming freshman Sharks and their families attended and took advantage of the opportunity to become acquainted with other incoming freshmen prior to the start of the Fall 2012 semester. They enjoyed lunch and received an official welcome from Mary Friel, director of Recruitment, and Anthony DeNapoli, Ed.D., executive director of International Affairs.

The diverse group of students represented several majors and came from areas around New York and New Jersey. Corbett expressed her excitement for the event: “The newest Sharks I met today are amazing – mature, focused, academically strong, family- and team-oriented, friendly and fun!”
