Jacqueline Travisano, M.B.A., CPA, NSU executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Jacqueline Travisano, M.B.A., CPA, NSU executive vice president and chief operating officer, shares insights in one of the many seven minute, one-on-one meetings at Mentoring Monday..

More than 250 businesswomen gathered at NSU’s Carl DeSantis building recently to learn from 37 female business leaders at the South Florida Business Journal’s second annual Bizwomen “Mentoring Monday” event.

NSU’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Jackie Travisano, M.B.A. welcomed the group to the university. Following introductions, she and Vice President for Advancement and Community Relations Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., served as two of the business leaders who met one-on-one with participants, offering life and work advice with the goal of giving them a leg-up on climbing the career ladders of their industries.

“Mentoring Monday” is a national effort by more than 40 American city Business Journals that encourages women successful in business to share their knowledge to help nurture and inspire others. An estimated 10,000 women were expected to participate this year.
