High school students from the Academy of Medical Sciences at William H. Turner Technical Arts High School in Miami participated in the Nursing Consortium of South Florida’s annual Day in the Life of a Nurse program on November 4th. Twenty-seven juniors and seniors spent the day on the Miami campus interacting with six nursing student volunteers, nursing faculty, and the Skills/SIM lab manager learning about the nursing profession and engaging in hands-on activities in the Skills and Simulation labs.

The Academy of Medical Sciences at William H. Turner Technical Arts High School leader stated, “On behalf of the Career Technical Education Department/Health Science for MDCPS, the students at William H. Turner Technical Arts and myself, we would like to THANK YOU for an excellent display of the Nursing Program at NOVA Southeastern University Miami Campus and for the interactive activities you planned for the students. They were really excited with everything they learned and several are now considering Nursing as a career. Hope to see you again next year.”
