NSU was proud to host the 2015 JCC Maccabi Games® & ArtsFest®, on August 9-14. More than 1,500 Jewish teen artists and athletes came to the David Posnack JCC in Broward County from around the globe and throughout the United States to participate.

Several of the events were held at NSU’s Davie campus, including baseball, basketball, dance and the Closing Ceremonies. This was a fantastic opportunity for NSU to show our Shark Pride and hospitality by welcoming these prospective students and families to our beautiful campus.

President Hanbury welcomed participants and supporters at the Opening Ceremonies and escorted the torch at the BB&T Center to help launch the event. Dozens of students from NSU’s University School participated in various sporting events and performances. Additionally, members of the NSU family volunteered and even served as host families for participants from throughout the United States as well as international delegations from Israel, Australia, Poland, the United Kingdom, Canada and Mexico.
