NSU hosts Bring your Child to Work Day, Apr. 26
Your child is welcome to participate in NSU’s Bring your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 26. Space is limited; only 100 children will participate, ages 6-18 years old.
The day begins at the Health Professions Division in the cafeteria. Check-in will be from 8:30 am-9:15 am. There will be rotating 30 minute tours in the Dental Simulation Lab, EMS Training Room, Pharmacy Practice Lab, and the Nursing Lab. At 11:30 we will board buses to the Don Taft University Center. Each child will be given a food voucher for lunch at the Food Court in the University Center.
Admissions will present information to high school age students about preparations for their college future.
A kickball game featuring Children vs. Parents will be played after lunch on the field behind the University Center. For safety purposes, everyone is required to wear sneakers or closed-toe shoes — no sandals or heels please.
From 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm the children and parents may enjoy a swim in the pool at the University Center. Locker rooms will be available to change into swim suits. Please bring a towel.
T-shirts will be provided for the children only.
Note: Parents must accompany their children at all times.
Please e-mail syeager@nova.edu to reserve a space. For more information, call Peggy Burrows at 954-262-2125 or Sandy Yeager at 954-262-7401 Please indicate your child’s age.
