NSU hosts 11th Annual CommunityFest at Gold Circle Lake

DSC_0106

CommunityFest 2014

The sunny weather and festive energy around the Gold Circle Lake certainly made this year’s CommunityFest an event to remember. NSU students, faculty and staff members brought their friends and families to the exciting event which included entertainment, food, and fun. This event has become known for its large-scale attractions, and this year was no exception. There were caricature artists, a rock wall, a petting zoo, and a favorite of the students – the Dunk Tank.

All together, the event featured over 100 booths, 18 food vendors, and 16 attractions, not to mention the day’s main stage entertainment. CommunityFest’s featured performances from the Sharkettes dance team, the Mako Band, as well as the Riff Tides a cappella group. Between the lively acts, Radio X played an array of today’s hits while the crowd found their way around the Lake grabbing some delicious samples from the area’s best food vendors. Hungry Howie’s, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, and Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream & Treatery were among some of the vendors that sponsored the annual carnival.

If you missed this year’s event, we hope to see you next year at CommunityFest!
