NSU to Host High School Graduations – Impact on Main Campus Traffic/Parking
As in previous years, NSU will host several Broward County high school graduation rehearsals and ceremonies in the Don Taft University Center.
On the dates of the rehearsals and ceremonies, we are expecting considerable traffic on and around our campus. Guests attending the rehearsals and graduation ceremonies will utilize the Alvin Sherman Library parking garage.
To accommodate our NSU community and the visiting public, parking will be available in alternate lots for students, faculty and staff.
Library patrons visiting the Alvin Sherman Library will still have access to the first floor of the Library Garage as usual.
Students (undergraduate, graduate and University School), faculty and staff who utilize the Alvin Sherman Library garage, please park in the following areas:
• Middle School Lot
• Surface lot just north of the garage
• Carl DeSantis Building’s surface lot
• Health Profession Division (HPD) Garage upper levels only
• Gated surface lots where space is available.
For those graduations that take place at midday, parking will be made available in the Mailman Hollywood parking lot, the Residential Halls parking lot and the perimeter road grassy area.
The Rosenthal lot will be utilized to accommodate Handicap/Disabled Parking.
