NSU Honors Hispanic Heritage Month with Cultural Events for the South Florida Community
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15) by celebrating and learning about Hispanic culture through a variety of activities, most of which are on the univeristy’s main campus in Davie-Ft. Lauderdale.

Pamir Guanchez y La Pachanguisima Concert, 2:00-3:30 pm
TheNSU Alvin Sherman Library will host a Sounds of Venezuela concert with music by Pamir Guanchez y La Pachanguisima! Location: Miniaci Performing Arts Center, adjacent to NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library on the Ft. Lauderdale-Davie campus. Free and open to the public. Tickets can be picked up either at the Alvin Sherman Librarydesk or on the day of the event at the Miniaci Theater. Call 954-262-5477.

Multicultural Potluck, featuring Puerto Rican/Cuban fusion main course from El Pilon, 11:30 am
Come out and enjoy a potluck lunch. Donation: $5 donation for meal and drink with proceeds going to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Project S.E.E.D. initiative which provides medical care and education to migrant workers (primarily Hispanic) in Immokalee, FL. Hispanic Career Expo presented by The H.I.L.L. of Northeast Florida, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
The Jacksonville Campus will be sponsoring this Hispanic Career Expo which will give attendees the opportunity to meet with employers from across Northeast Florida to discuss immediate job openings with job seekers possessing unique bilingual talent. While the expo is targeting Hispanic individuals, it is open to anyone in the community. Location: Room 210. Free and open to the public.
