Ron and Kathy Assaf to receive President’s Community Award at the Celebration of Excellence, Jan. 19
Honorees Ron and Kathy Assaf
NSU will award the university’s highest honor, the President’s Community Award, to philanthropists and business leaders Ron and Kathy Assaf.
Mr. Assaf was elected a member of the NSU Board of Trustees on July 1, 1994, and since that time has served as Chairman of the Executive and Finance Committees and as a member of numerous other University committees. He has served as Chairman of the Board since his election to that office on May 20, 2005.
The Community Award will be presented during NSU’s annual Celebration of Excellence banquet on Jan. 19 at the Signature Grand, Davie.
Since 1997, the Celebration of Excellence has brought together community leaders and industry pioneers who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities.
During the banquet, NSU will also present the 2011 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards to graduates of the university’s schools, colleges and centers.
