Liliana Cammisa and Jamie Freedman

Liliana Cammisa and Jamie Freedman

Two Nova Southeastern University women’s golfers, Liliana Cammisa and Jamie Freedman, were named to the 2014-15 All-American Scholar team, as awarded by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Cammisa (Sr., Alta Gracia, Argentina) and Freedman (Fr., Miami Beach, Fla.) were named alongside 758 women’s golfers, across all levels, who had a 3.5 minimum cumulative GPA for this past academic year to earn this prestigious award. In all, 14 Sunshine State Conference honorees were among those listed.

The Sharks’ duo was among the top three golfers on last year’s squad, with stroke averages of 76.38 (Cammisa) and 76.53 (Freedman). They combined for 14 top-15 finishes, eight within the top five. Cammisa just ended her outstanding four-year career, while Freedman will return for her sophomore season in the fall.
