NSU Fort Myers PA Students Announces and Represents National Physician Assistant Week
Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences
NSU Fort Myers physician assistant (PA) students represented the university and the PA profession during a recent Fort Myers City Council Meeting. Physician assistant students, Perry Crawford, Erin Diskin, Kassidy Anthony, and Jonathan Nusbaum attended the meeting where Mayor Randall P. Henderson, Jr. proclaimed October 6-12 as National Physician Assistant Week in Fort Myers, Florida.
In his proclamation, Mayor Henderson recognized the 51st anniversary of the PA profession and encouraged “all residents to recognize PAs for the significant impact they have made and the superior healthcare they have provided over the last five decades”.
Crawford was eloquent in his response to the council members and public attendees; he represented the PA profession and NSU. Additionally, to celebrate PA week, the Fort Myers PA students, faculty, and administrators held a successful blood drive for the Lee Health System as they recognized the importance of giving back to one’s community.
