NSU Faculty Member Selected to Serve on Peer Review Team
Steven P. Kurtz, Ph.D., professor and director of the Center for Applied Research on Substance Use and Health Disparities (ARSH) at the Institute for the Study of Human Service, Health and Justice, has accepted an invitation to serve as peer reviewer at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s Center for Scientific Review. He will be serving on a team of experts that reviews grant proposals focused on the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
NIH reviewers are selected based on the quality of their research accomplishments, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors. Kurtz’s exceptional scientific stature was a major reason for his selection. His term began on July 1 of this year and will run through June 30, 2016.
