NSU Faculty Honored for Receiving External Funding
NSU faculty were honored on Feb. 1 at the NSU External Funding Recognition Ceremony, which recognizes the efforts of NSU faculty members who have received external grant funding in the previous fiscal year. Fiscal Year 2010 saw great progress in the area of external funding, with total external funding exceeding $71 million. This event recognizes the extraordinary efforts of faculty members who contributed to this milestone, and encourages the continued pursuit of more external funding.
The event took place in the 2nd floor Art Gallery of the Alvin Sherman Library and included a special presentation of the NSU Lifetime Achievement Award for Research Contributions That Have Bettered Humanity. The award was presented to NSU faculty member Nathan H. Azrin, Ph.D., ABPP, from NSU’s Center for Psychological Studies. Professor Azrin has served the university for 30 years in a career that produced research that has bettered the lives of people all over the world.
