NSU faculty members recently celebrated the start of the 2010-2011 academic year by attending the 9th Annual Faculty Reception, held in the Second Floor Gallery of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.

The Sept. 21 reception was a chance to mingle with colleagues from throughout the university, while being treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres and interacting with top university administrators. As a special treat, members of the “Red Vest Society” were also on hand, mixing, shaking and stirring drinks.

History buffs also got a rare treat, as the reception was the opening of two concurrent White House exhibits in the Second Floor Gallery: including one with letters handwritten by George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and one with James Hoban – architect of the White House.
