NSU Epidemiologist Recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award
United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Substance Abuse is pleased to announce that the Co-Chair of its Surveillance Committee, Jim Hall, was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association. The presentation was held on Thursday, August 17 before 1,300 substance abuse and mental health professionals at the annual Florida Behavioral Health Conference in Orlando. Hall has tracked patterns and trends of substance abuse in Florida for the past 35 years and currently serves as Senior Epidemiologist for the Center of Applied Research on Substance Use and Health Disparities at Nova Southeastern University.
