NSU Dental Resident wins Research Award

Kiran Sreekantaiah, B.D.S., a second year postgraduate resident of endodontics at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine.

Kiran Sreekantaiah, B.D.S., a second year postgraduate resident of endodontics at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine, won a research award for an outstanding poster presentation of his research on the use of stem cells to replant avulsed teeth.  Five million teeth are avulsed each year in the U.S. and Sreekantaiah investigated new therapies to make the replanting of teeth more successful. The research award was presented last week from the American Association of Endodontists at the organization’s 2012 Annual Conference in Boston.
