NSU Cross Country Places Second at Miami Elite Invitational
NSU’s cross country team placed second in both the men’s and women’s races at the Miami Elite Invitational on Oct. 22.
For the fifth straight race, Alexandria Palm (Fr., Winnebago, Ill.) was the top female runner for the Sharks, placing third behind two Miami Hurricane runners with a time of 18:57. Peri Bowman (Fr., Virginia Beach, Va.) finished just behind Palm in fourth with a time of 19:02, smashing her career-record by 17 seconds.
The Sharks will now get set for the Sunshine State Conference Championship which will be held in Melbourne, Fla. on Nov. 5.
